Bubble Box reviewed... [Premier Guitar Dec 2008 issue]

Check out the Bubble Box reviewed in the December 08 issue of Premier Guitar :

"Like all Dino’s pedals, the Bubble Box is a mix of PCB and point-to-point construction. The company claims this provides consistency, reliability and great tone. Lucky for us the tester unit delivered on that statement to its fullest"

"Playing off of Dino’s love for Fender-style instruments, the Bubble Box was initially tested with a modified Telecaster into a Fender Bassman. Starting in Tremolo mode with the Tweak knob set to clean, and the Rate and Depth controls set to twelve o’clock, the Bubble Box was engaged. One word describes the sound of the Bubble Box: lush. The tremolo effect was nice and full, resulting in a great fifties-style tone that is nothing short of infectious."

"(...) the Leslie-style effect was nice and full, and the Rate and Depth knobs helped dial it into a rotary dream come true (...)"

"If you need a good multi-purpose modulation effect then this may be worth checking out. The boys from Italy at Dino’s are consistently making great tone-based products for today’s players."

Rust Box and Dynabox reviewed... [Premier Guitar Nov 2008 issue]

Check out our Rust Box and Dynabox put through their paces and compared to other boutique stompboxes in the cool November 2008 'Pedals Shootout' issue of Premier Guitar !!

"(...) The Dynabox brings out the character in different instruments impressively. It reacted particularly well to single coiled instruments: a Strat, a reissue Telecaster, a ‘63 Dano Baritone, and even a vintage seventies Fender Musicmaster Bass. (...)"

"Though it’s a more dedicated pedal, the Dynabox could be a nice addition to your overall sound. If you’re looking for a booster with a lot of headroom and its own character, check it out."

"Rigorously tested with numerous guitars and amps, the Rust Box showed great diversity: it performed exceptionally well with single coil pickups on a Fender Stratocaster, a Dano ’63 Reissue, and a Burns Steer Cutaway, all through a Fender Deluxe."

"All in all, the Rust Box is a very well built overdrive/distortion pedal capable of a great variety of flavors. If you are looking for an all-purpose box, it definitely warrants a closer look"

Rust Box and Dynabox reviewed... [Vintage Guitar Oct 2008 issue]

(...) The Rust Box is not your typical distortion unit. Housed in lightweight aluminum and assembled using a mix of PCB and point-to-point construction, there’s an impressive attention to detail in its construction (...)"

"The pedal’s transparency is immediately evident. When disengaged, it adds no coloration of tone – and stepping on the switch quickly yields the realization that this is not your daddy’s distortion pedal!"

"The Rust Box’s real secret lies in its Bass and Treble controls, which allow for dialing in just the right tone with each instrument. This also means it works great with bass, yielding a nice Geddy-like growl out of an early-’70s Fender Jazz, and sheer overdriven thunder from of a ’73 Hagstrom Swede."

"The Dino’s crew’s dedication to quality also carries over to its Dynabox"

"the Dynabox creates no issues in terms of added noise – a claim that can be made by precious few boost pedals. And when engaged, the unit makes it immediately apparent that you will have a lot of headroom."

"From fine wines and great pasta to exotic sports cars and Sophia Loren, the luxuries of the boot-shaped country live on in Dino’s Guitars’ Rust Box and Dynabox – two stompboxes for those with discriminating tastes looking for an added treat"

Hyper Rust Box, Dynabox and Bubble Box reviewed... [Chitarre N. 266 Apr 2008 issue]

"(...) the Hyper Rust Box can morph with ease from a transparent, natural boost, capable of slamming the front end of your amp, to a creamy and thick Overdrive (...)"

"by engaging the 'Hyper' switch, we'll get a significant increase of dBs, but the tone is left pleasingly unchanged"

"The tremolo produced by the Bubble Box is really warm and natural, the envelope of each note is smooth and clean"

"upon kicking the Dynabox in the fx chain, we noticed an immediate improvement of the general tone of our rig: notes got rounder and the frequency spectrum way broader"

"(...) we placed the Dynabox first in our fx chain and we had a hard time switching it off during the entire gig (...)"

"These pedals pack serious construcion and tone. Born here next door and able to go head to head with anything on the market.  Tones emanating from them are nice and smooth and able to melt in with any setup to improve it"

The Rust Box reviewed... [Chitarre N. 245 Jul 2006 issue]

"(...) the tone of the Rust Box is what we expect from a pedal in its class and price range: boutique (...) no commercially available stock pedal is so natural sounding (...)"

"In the 'boost' mode is like having an additional channel on the amp"

"For sure the guys at Dino's have come up with a nice, professional effect pedal, very versatile and capable of boutique tones right up there with the very best pedals coming from UK and USA. We must say they really deserve a 'bravo' (...)"

A 2x12 Dino's cabinet reviewed...[Chitarre N. 228 Feb 2005 issue]

(...) we immediately noticed (our backs noticed...) how light this cabinet is, not small by any means, but extremely portable."

"(...) we tested our Dino's 2x12 cab with two very different italian-made tube amps, each sporting an excellent signature tone: the Brunetti "Maranello" and the Orlando "Whitehead" combo.  The cab performed outstandingly well with either amp, delivering a warm, round, harmonically rich and always well defined tone, adding its own sonic signature to each amp's nice voice, still being faithful to the original signal."

"This is exactly what we expect from this type of products: lighness, fidelity to our tone and overall quality."

"You've got to check out one of those 'monstrous' tone gems with your favourite amp."
