Like the name suggests, the Black Pup speakers are the little brothers to the Black Dogs. When it came time to lay down the specs for a 10'' speaker, we thought the aggressive and slightly raucous (but by no means harsh!) voice of the Black Dog would complement the smaller 10'' cones beautifully.  As it turned out, we were every bit right, in that the Black Pups provide all the punch, cutting power and 'bark' of the black dogs, and couple it with all the cool things that come from the the quickness of the smaller cone: fast response and incredible dynamics. 

The Black Pups are made specifically for us by a great UK-based supplier. They do all their designing and manufacturing in their factory near Leeds, so we are talking no Asian-bull here.

A 4x10 Dino's cab loaded with four Black Pups is a great choice to pack the  punch of 4 loudspeakers in a compact, convenient box.  Not simply 'twice a 2x10', nor a smaller sibling to a '4x12', our 4x10 cabinet has a well defined personality all of its own.  Thick sounding and punchy, the tone emanating from our 4x10 is definitely 'in-your-face'. You'll experience that blast of air moving your pants here, if you know what we mean. Not as broad sounding as our 4x12, but definitely more 'to the point': fast, dynamic and tough. Think recent ZZ-Top and you'll be heading the right direction here. This cab handles any style with ease but it will definitely shine in loud settings with nice, tube distortion. We would love a player like David Grissom to play through one of our 4x10's, because that tone and that playing is exactly what we had in mind when we designed this cab.
