Yo Andy ! ... Today I tested the Rust Box w/ my amp. Your pedals are not good.....coz everytime when I play another OD pedal after Dinos, it sounds like ...*fart* :D rust1 rust2 rust3 rust4 rust5 rust6 rust7 Sam Vilo - Helsinki (Finland)
I really think the Rust Box opens up a lot in Hypermode. It's almost like running it on 18V with increased headroom. Great feature (...) It adds shimmer to the original tone and doesn't offer a lot of drive. I would go so far to compare it to a Klon in that sense. Transparency, clarity, warmth, fatness, and without Klons midfocus if setting the drive at higher settings... [more] I have to say that I'm totally in love with the Dynabox ... It fullfills my needs for a lowgain just breakup type of sound. Like the Hendrix "Axis", John Mayer semiclean rhythmsound. I really like the openness, clarity, dynamics, touch sensitivity and transparency and how it almost emulates a tuberectifier sag. Much better than the Lovepedal COT50 (Too bright) that I had and have sold now. And I use a Timmy, a Kloncopy and a Reverend Divetrain to push it further. Really sweet. A big 'CONGRATULATIONS!" to Andy and the folks at Dino's Guitars. I would definitely recommend the Rust Box to other players... [more] Doug Budzak - Huntsville, AL
I've been playing the Rust Box and Dynabox regularly and discovering their subtleties. I really like the 'feel' - very amp like and substantial. They are inspiring to play and I've found a few sweet spots for each one... (clip done Les Paul with Lollar Imperials, into Kingsley Deluxe 32C, fitted with 2 x Mullard EL84s + 2 x Tung Sol 5881s. Amp was recorded at gig volume using a matched pair of EarthWorks TC40K omni mics, Celestion Gold + Scholz Sugarcone, into an Apogee Ensemble, into Logic Pro 8) rust box clip dyna clip 1 (sw left) dyna clip 2 (sw right) [more] Ron Marinelli - Van Nuys, CA
Andy, I just got home from the studio. The Hyper Rust Box is fierce!!! Like you mentioned, the key to unlocking it's potential definitely falls on the input. It does clean up very nicely. Possible the best pedal I have used in quite some time. I especially like the first two modes and the hyper boost is insane (...) As I mentioned before that boost is BY FAR the best one I have seen/heard yet (...) You can tweak the hell out of that thing and discover new voices almost every time you do so... [more] A suggestion If I may... YOU NEED TO REPRODUCE EVERY EFFECT THERE IS!!!! this Bubble Box is soooooo much fun. I have the setting at - TWEAK - 8:00, Rate - 2:30, DEPTH - 3:30, Volume - dimed or to taste. This setting gives me both a killer silverface vibrato and an awesome Trem. All I am doing right now is switching the mini toggle back and forth between trem and vib. Two smoking settings in what...10 minutes (???) like I said said above, you need to reproduce every effect in the Boss library cause I know yours would smoke. The two settings I have already are worth the price. As much as I love the Hyper Rust Box, the Bubble Box is just plain fun!!!! [more] Bill Ballato - Pawcatuck, CT
Got the Dynabox yesterday and really like the compression setting on, just perfect for my kind of power blues playing... I thought that compression was only useful for country, your pedal changed my mind ... is it really a compresson kind of thing ? what does it do ??? Really lovely pedal ! Very very nice especially on the crunchy side, I always thought by compression you loose dynamics ??!! Your statisfied customer !!!, Olivier Janssens - Gent (Belgium)
